Straight pins! One of the key tools a seamstress uses are straight pins. Way back in a previous life, I used to sew--making a lot of my clothes. At the pinnacle of sewing life, I made a tailored blazer from a designer Vogue pattern--complete with a perfectly notched collar, pad-stitched roll lines on the collar & lapel, and bound buttonholes.
I drew the pin cushion from sewing kit using Painter IX--pen and digital watercolor. I assembled the digital collage in Photoshop.
