The sketch on the left I did Friday night of my favorite tea cup, which I've had since college. Tea and Salerno butter cookies were my favorite comfort combo of childhood. I colored in the sketch later with watercolors. I didn't use waterproof ink, so it got a little bit smeary after the watercolors.

Take Me Home Flying Friend
Once upon a time there was a young girl named Susan who used to ride her kitchen step stool into Wonderville. She had adventures with her many friends, Wolfgang the bear, Caesar the penguin. But in her heart of hearts, she loved Mr. Pegasus the best. When she was ready to return to her ordinary life, she sat on her red stool and said, "Take me home flying friend, take me home."
I warmed up by sketching the table and chair in my sketchbook. I redrew them in Painter and colored them in. I added the background. I converted it to photoshop to add the lettering and save it as a .jpg. I had to do a little research to refresh my memories:
